The SotaTek – Avalanche Hackathon, part of the exciting events marking the partnership of SotaTek and Ava Labs, is officially underway! With a prize pool of over 50,000,000 VND, this is your chance to shine with groundbreaking tech ideas. 

Organized by Ava Labs, SotaTek, and ABC Station, the “Builders on Avalanche: Bridging the Web2 and Web3 Divide” hackathon aims to foster innovation and collaboration, and encourage participants to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3, using the AvalanchePlatform. 

We’re calling on all SotaTekers to join us in this exciting Hackathon! Don’t be afraid if you’re not a coding expert – bring your passion, ideas, and curiosity. This hackathon is designed for everyone eager to learn about Avalanche Platform.

 1. Introducing SotaTek <> Avalanche Hackathon Rules and Guidelines

a. Rules

Team size: 3-4 members/ team and every member must be part of the project.

Presentation: 

• Projects must be developed on the Avalanche platform.
• Each team gets 5 minutes to present the project (should include a demo) and 3 minutes for judges’ questions.

Project submission deadline: before 11:59 PM, December 5, 2023

Announcement of presentation teams: December 6, 2023

Format: Offline event at 7F, Golden Park Building, No. 2 Pham Van Bach, Cau Giay (3 PM, December 7, 2023)

b. Scoring breakdown

Projects will be evaluated based on 4 criteria (max: 100 scores) and Facebook voting scores. A team with the highest score will be the winner of the SotaTek Avalanche Hackathon.

4 criteria including

• Creativity (30 points): Unique ideas and creativity in using Avalanche.
• Practicality (30 points): Solution’s practical applicability, potential for impact and real value to users and communities.
• Product Quality (20 points): Product quality and deployability in real environments.
• Presentation (20 points): Clarity and effectiveness of the live demo, ability to present information, and handle questions from the judge board.

Voting Scores

Each team needs to upload their project to Github. The project link will be shared on SotaTek’s Facebook and applied voting scores as below: 

1 reaction = 1 point.

1 comment = 2 points (Limit: 1 comment per account).

1 share = 5 points (Limit: 1 share per account). Note: Share publicly with hashtags #SotaTekAvalancheHackathon and #project1 (each team’s project will have a code)

The team with the highest voting score will receive a special prize of 2.000.000 VND.

2. SotaTek <> Avalanche Hackathon Prizes Revealed ️

The SotaTek <> Avalanche Hackathon, themed “Builders on Avalanche: Bridging the Web2 and Web3 Divide” is officially launched!
